Late Pledges Extended

We’ve decided to keep late pledges open a little longer than originally planned! This extension gives more time for those who missed out during the campaign to join and secure their rewards. 🌟 If you haven’t locked in your pledge yet, now is the perfect time!

Pledge Manager Timing Update

The launch of the Pledge Manager is being slightly pushed back as we align everything for the upcoming playtests

Here's why:

We’re working closely with Steam to deliver the playtest keys first. This ensures that everything runs smoothly when the playtests go live. Once we have the keys ready, you’ll receive them immediately when completing your Pledge Manager survey. This approach avoids delays and ensures you can jump into the action as soon as possible! 🚀🎮

We appreciate your patience as we prioritize a seamless experience for everyone.

Beta/Playtest is Still on Track for Early January!

We want to reassure you that the Beta/Playtest is NOT delayed. It’s still planned for early January, and we’re on track to deliver it as promised. Your playtest keys will go out as soon as the surveys are completed in the Pledge Manager, so you’ll be ready to dive in right away! 🚀

November 2024 Update: Custom Controls, Beta Prep, and Final Pledge Opportunities!

We’re thrilled to bring you another update on the development of Master of Realms! While this month may not include a lot of flashy new features, we’ve been hard at work preparing something very special for you. Let’s dive in!

Project Progress

Customizable Controls:

You can now fully customize your controls! Tailor the application to suit your preferences and build maps your way. We know this isn’t a huge update on its own, but we’ve frozen development on other features for now to focus on preparing the playtest builds. 🎮✨

Beta/Playtest Update:

Speaking of playtests, we’re excited to announce that we’re starting work on playtest builds! While they were initially planned for late December, the playtests will now roll out in early January. The slight delay is to ensure we deliver the best possible experience and avoid the holiday rush. We appreciate your patience as we finalize everything to make the playtests truly amazing! 🚀

Important Dates and Announcements

Late Pledges Closing:

Kickstarter Late pledges will close on the 18th of November 11 PM EST. This is the final chance to support Master of Realms through Kickstarter and secure exclusive rewards! 🌟

Pledge Manager Launch:

The Pledge Manager will go live on 25th November or sooner. 🎯 This is your final opportunity to lock in your Kickstarter pledge, upgrade your tier, add more add-ons, and receive all the unlocked free stretch goals.

After the launch, these stretch goals will become paid DLC on Steam, so don’t miss out! 🛒

  1. Receive the Survey: You’ll get an email from Bakerkit with a link to the Pledge Manager.

  4. Submit Details: Fill out any requested information, including your email address.
  5. Final Confirmation: Confirm your pledge details and get ready for your beta Steam key delivery! 🎮

Viewbox Navigation:

We’ve added a new Navigation tab to the Viewbox! This feature allows you to navigate larger maps more easily by clicking and dragging on the map preview within the Viewbox. You can also double-click to instantly jump to a specific area on the map in the main viewport, making it quicker to move around your creation. 🗺️✨

We’re thrilled to announce that Steam Workshop integration is now live! Users can now Publish, Browse, and Subscribe to maps directly through Steam Workshop, opening up endless possibilities for community sharing and creativity. UI Refresh:

We've given the user interface a refreshing overhaul! The new design is now more minimalistic and streamlined, focusing on simplicity and ease of use. We've removed unnecessary ornamental elements to create a more modern and cleaner look with a floating UI style that provides a more immersive experience. This update reduces clutter, enhances clarity, and makes navigation more intuitive, allowing you to focus on building and exploring your perfect maps without distractions. 🖥️🎨

Viewport Functionality Updates:

We have made significant improvements to the Viewport Functionality to give you more control over the visual elements of your maps:

  • Grid Transparency Control: Adjust the grid transparency to highlight specific map details or to make certain elements stand out. This feature allows for a more personalized aesthetic.

2D Export Implementation:

The 2D Export Implementation is now fully complete! You can export your 2D maps effortlessly, tailored to the paper size you selected at the beginning. 🖨️

  • Export to Any Paper Size: Choose from sizes like A4, A3, or any other to get your maps in the format you need.

  • Automatic Page Continuation: If your map extends beyond the selected size, additional rows will automatically appear on a new page of the same size.

  • Digital Export Flexibility: For digital exports, simply select “custom” at the beginning, and your map will be exported in the exact dimensions you need. 💻✨

Single Object Placement and Updates:

We’re excited to announce that you can now place single objects directly onto your map! If the existing tiles don’t have what you’re looking for, you can use this new feature to add unique elements such as forests, houses, or other objects to create the exact map you envision. You can draw these elements using a brush tool or quickly spawn them by dragging a rectangle—whatever suits your creative needs! 🌳🏠

Additionally, we've added several new options now that we have Object Selection Mode in our selection tool to give you even greater control over single objects:

Context Menu in selection tool:

We’re excited to announce that the Context Menu has been fully integrated into the toolbar’s selection tool. This feature enhances user control and interaction, making it easier and more intuitive to manage tiles on the map. Below are the key actions you can now perform using the context menu:
